I am interested to appear CAT after my English honours. I am from humanities background. Please suggest.
Dear Aishwarya
All the top MBA colleges such as IIMs, IIFT, XLRI, MDI give a lot of preference to diversity.
As you are form humanities background i would suggest if you are intrested in giving CAT then just start your preparation on full throttle.
If you manage to get a decent percentile there will be many calls which you will get a chance to convert.
All the best.
Hello Aishwarya
Its good that you want to opt for CAT exam. A
Even the CAT exam organiser set to prepare prepare in consideration that non engineers would also apply for the exam and do well. So the level of quantitative apptitude section will hold less weightage or contains less number of questions as compared with the rest of the section. More emphasis will be on DI (data interpretation) , logical reasoning, verbal and reading compression.
So I would suggest you to take HR stream as core or HR with marketing stream as dual specialization.
So start your preparation well in advance.
Good luck for your career ahead.
Thanks

Are you interested? Though I've put it second, this is indeed the most important question to be answered. And nobody, but you, can answer this question accurately. So think about it and answer this question honestly. Go for it if your answer is yes.
You also stand a hood chance being non engineer female for IIMs and comparatively diversity factor will also help you. So,in my opinion try to get atleast 93+ and you can easily fetch a call from IIMs.
Hope it clears your doubt.
All the best
