In order to apply abroad you will need to give internationally recognised examinations like SAT or ACT, TOEFL or IELTS, CAE or CPE. These examinations test you in the following parameter - english, mathematics, science, social sciences, humanities, listening, speaking and writing. Scoring good in these examination will not only increase your chances at getting into top notch universities but also help with getting good grants and scholarships.
1. For testing English:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for countries like USA and Canada.
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) for countries like UK, Australia and New Zealand.
- The Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and The Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) for countries like UK.
2. Testing of other parameters:
- SAT - It tests you in critical reading and comprehension, mathematics and Writing.
- ACT- It tests you in english, mathematics, reading comprehension, grammar, science with an optional writing section.
3. SAT Subject Test:
- Since you are applying for science related subject you will need to give an additional SAT Subject Test in subjects you want to pursue your Bachelor's in (eg. you want to pursue your Bachelor's in Biology so you will subject test for biology).
- These subject tests will test your knowledge on whatever you have studied till 12th grade.
You will have to apply in UK through the UCAS system. All your application will go to the colleges you will be applying in through the UCAS system and the colleges will further contact you through the same system.
Medical in USA:
- In order to pursue your medical from a university in USA you will have to initially give the SAT or ACT along with TOEFL or IELTS.
- After that you will have to apply to an undergraduate medical school.
- University of Washington, University of Colarado, University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin - Madison, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, University of Nebraska Medical Centre etc. are some universities from where you can pursue your medical.
Medicine in UK:
- You will need a minimum of 7 overall IELTS score. Along with this you need really good marks Biology and Chemistry.
- After these requirement you can apply for an undergraduate programme at a medical school.
- You will have to give the UKCAT (UK Clinical Aptitude Test).
Medicine in Germany:
- It is suggested that you give Test for Medical Studies (TMS) examination in order to pursue medical from a university in Germany.
- You need to give a certificated test in order to show your profeciency in German.
- Along with you need to show IELTS or TOEFL results in colleges too.
Medicine in Europe:
- You need good marks in Biology and Chemistry.
- Along with it you will need letters of recommendation, letter of motivation, voluntary work experience certificate in a domain related to health care, TOEFL or IELTS results.
Global Medical Scholarships:
- University of Auckland John Hamel MacGregor Award in Medical Science: Awarded to both domestic and international students in the University of Auckland.

AFPHM John Snow Scholarship:
Provided by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. It is awrded to students accredited at universities in New Zealand and Australia.
- AMC Amsterdam Merit Scholarships: Scholarships for international students studying at University of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
- Carl Duisberg Scholarships: Awarded t students who wish to pursue their medical in Germany.
- Wellcome Trust Doctoral Studentships: Available to students of any nationality wishing to pursue their degree from Germany, Ireland or any other low income country.
- There are many other university based scholarships which open up in USA, UK Australia and Germany. You can avail them based on your merit and perfomance in the university after joining the course.
