As you are married then as per the technical terms, you are a part of your husbands family. Now if you have to show you are in EWS category then you have to show that your husband and his total income and other details of you and your husbands family must satisfy the conditions as provided by the rules of EWS. So its better for you to apply for a new certificate with the details of your husband after the end of tenure of your present certificate.

The eligibility for the EWS certificate are:

  • The annual income of the family of candidate should not exceed 8lakh per annum.
  • The family should not hold 5 or more than 5 acres of land.
  • The family shouldn't have a residental area more than 1000 sq feet.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
