I am MBBS 1st year student in SDM Medical College Dharwad, but I want to get transfered to MRMC in Gulbarga. Can u please tell me the procedure and details about fees. At present my seat is GMP in SDM.
Hi aspirant,
According to MCI guidelines, transfer of a student from one medical college to another is on the following basis-
- Death of the parent/guardian
- Unfavourable circumstances in the area where the college is
The above criteria is taken into consideration. You can transfer only in second year of MBBS. This process is quite tedious and long. You need to get NOC from both the colleges, and then submit it to MCI. If they find your reason valid enough, then they can allow the transfer. This process may take around 3 months.
When you leave the college seat, you need to pay the remaining year fees of the college. This is compulsory otherwise you are not allowed to leave. Apart from this, you need to pay the new college fees also every year.
ALL THE BEST
Hope it helps.
