See if you  have the basic understanding of chemistry then also you can pursue it. Now don't worry about it more because the requirement of chemistry in the course will be taught in the curriculum itself. So you didn't have to worry a lot. You must ensure that you have basic understanding of Bonds, Periodic Table, Organic Naming (IUPAC), Balancing chemical equations, Equillibrium state. If you can brush this much of chemistry you will not face any foundation problem with the subject.
