I am now studying BSc physics and I'm interested in going graduation in IT field but confused on which college to choose please help?
Hello Samuel,
To do graduation in IT, you have two options, either you leave your course in middle and start all over again as a first year in UG course of IT, or you can just finish up your B.Sc. in Physics and then go for another Undergraduate in IT or you can do your Post graduation in Information Technology.
If you want to leave your course in the middle, then you can apply for following UG programmes that are related to the IT field-
1) Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT)
2) Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology (B.E IT)
3) Bachelors of Technology in Information Technology (B. Tech IT)
While admission for the first is based on the merit of class 12th marks (Higher Secondary examination), the other two have admission based on entrance exams such as JEE or state level engineering entrance exams (private too).

M.Tech or M.E in Information Technology
For doing ME or M.Tech IT, you need to have an engineering degree (B.E/B.Tech) in the relevant field. Therefore, you cannot do that with Physics UG degree.
I hope this will help you. If you have any other doubt or query, feel free to ask.
All the best!
