Hello there,

with onc-ncl rank 17719 you may not get into top NITs, however, you have chances in the following NITs (if being from home state gives additional advantage )

1. NIT uttarakhand ( civi/electric engg)
2.NIT Srinagar
3. NIT Puducherry
4. NIT Durgapur
5. NIT SILCHAR
6. NIT GOA

you may check the same with the branch you find most suitable for you here:

You can also use the college predictor tool and participate in Jossa counselling to get a list of colleges available to you:

Dear student,

As you have got 17719 rank in jee mains from your obc category, then sorry, you can not get branch in any nits, if you belong from other state.

Now if you belong from home state of some nits, then there is a chance that you can get good engineering branch by applying your home state quota with this much rank.

So, if you belong from home state quota then the nits which you can get (as per the last year cut off closing Trends) are :-

Nit durgapur
Nit goa
Nit jalandhar
Nit hamirpur
Svnit surat (low chances)
Nit raipur
Nit manipur

But if you are from other state then the chances are nearly impossibly for you to get any seat in nits (not even the lower ones).
So, better you try at some other colleges.

And also check out our jee mains college predictor tool to get an appropriate idea of colleges that you can get on basis of your jee mains rank :-

Hello there,
You haven't mentioned your home state, and the branch you want to choose. Analysing the previous year data, you have fair chances of getting into NITs. You can get some medium to lower NITs with your preferred branch.

You can check the cut-off ranks of all the NITs from the link given below:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches/amp

Also note that the cut-off rank changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper, and the number of candidates appearing for it.

You can use our college predictor to predict the best college for you:

Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!

Dear aspirant,

I am really sorry but there is very very less chance to get any of the nits with your rank. Maybe you can watch for csab councelling but still you will get much lower nit and lower branch.                           Therefore, I strongly recommend to have some backup other than nits.
