Hello Aradhna Tiwari !
Here are 10 tips to increase your chances of cracking CLAT-
- You cannot learn a thing you think you know ( - Poets of the Fall) - approach every problem as if it’s going to be a learning experience. Don’t refuse to learn from it assuming you already know all knowledge it has to offer.
- Don’t let the fear of scoring bad in mocks or any other form of assessment demotivate you from assessing your progress - it is vital for you to track how good/bad you’ve been doing.
- Don’t fear experimenting in your approach while taking mocks, this will help you develop an approach which best suits you.
- Be thorough with your GK and current affairs, don’t let work pile up, study every single day. Don’t go through them as a burden, go through them as if you’re reading a story.
- Take good care of your health during your preparation and eat a healthy nutritious diet. Do take proper rest, don’t deprive yourself of sleep. Health>Studies, only if you’re healthy you will be able to study efficiently.
- Strike a perfect balance between speed and accuracy in your mocks, there is an inverse relation between the two, so be careful and don’t focus too much on one of them.
- Dream big! If you set your goals ridiculously high and it's a failure, you will fail above everyone else's success. — James Cameron.
- Don’t measure the duration of your study session. I see many people committing this “sin”. What matters is your quality and your temperament while you study, not the hours you can sit with a book in front of you.
- Word hard play hard - Wiz Khalifa. Work, and also enjoy yourself, play some sport, read a book or a short story, hang out with friends, listen to music, etc. Studying all day long is counter productive. Take gaps, and do something constructive.
- This is not limited to your CLAT preparation, this applies to life in general, don’t let any Triumph or Disaster (If by Rudyard Kipling)affect you, neither positively nor negatively, don’t form an opinion about yourself in your mind after succeeding or failing.
Bonus tip - and apparently, this is the most important tip I can give you from my personal experience- practice, practice, and…… um…. practice. Inculcate a habit of practicing your various aptitude related questions every day. Have an abysmal diet for problems.
Good luck!
