    Hey I know this is not helpful for you but I am struggling to get an online job that can give me sufficient income. Which one are you doing? Also from which website did you get the certificates and what were courses?

    Ok. Try upwork and Fiverr for online jobs, but it is really difficult at start since both websites have huge competition. Online courses are from Coursera, as they have quality in terms of classes, materials very similar to curriculum of doing masters abroad. I did courses on electronics, digital manufacturing etc. which are more nearer to my domain.

    Hy! Ashwin Ramesh, Work experience is not matter for Gate, If you want to give Gate exam seriously so first clear you basic concepts in subjects which you studied earlier like if i talk about for CS student then C programming, Data Structure, Operating System..etc and Aptitude is compulsory for all so first download Gate 2020 Syllabus and then analyse all subjects and you can buy books for Gate prepration and also can watch Youtube channels for prepration.

    So My friend if you really want to do hard work then start today because almost in August last Registration will be start.

    Ok. Thank you for your reply. But since I am having this huge gap, am I eligible for placements in IITs, NITs or in PSUs. This is really messing up my mind.

    Don't worry this answer will clear your all doubts basically it's really hard to get a job and placement after this gap because most of the companies mention that gap should not more than 2 years but it is not impoosible you can apply there is some job opening because lot of candidates placed in top compnaies after 4  and 5 years gap so you should google for upcoming placment drives for students who have 4 years and 5 years gap.For PSU you have to clear Gate exam and for Gate exam gap is not matter if you will score high then then you can grab a job in top leading PSU and also in private companies. So i think you should prepare for Gate as well as try for placement.

    Ok thank you for your reply. But if I study in IIT or NIT after gate 2020 will it be helpful for me? As i am stuck in my career right now. But I am really interested in taking gate and join IITs or psus. Can I use my online work to justify my gap, but it is not in my domain, I just worked as virtual assistant for various admin tasks to support my earnings.
