Dear Janhavi,

its very normal for you to stress out at this point because your marks are getting low. But there is no need to worry much as every student at some point faces this issue. Ups and downs are a part of competition. The thing you need to do is put yourself together and start with a new pace. the decrease in marks is usually due to two reasons: Firstly, lack of proper schedule and time table, and secondly due to improper prioritization of chapters in order of what is important and what is not.

Making an apt time table might help you a lot to organize your studies properly. give equal importance to each subject, while focusing a bit more on the subject that is your strong point. study biology daily for atleast 3 to 4 hours focusing on the chapters that are importnat as well as scoring. by saying this i do not mean that you should leave the chapters that are less important, you should study them as well, but smart studying pays off well than hard work.

similarly, with physics and chemistry as well, study them for atleast four to six hours daily in total. you can divide these six hours between physics and chemistry according to your choice as to which subject you find more easier to practise.

concepts should be on your finger tips and for that you can maintain a chart on which you can write important formulas, equations, reactions that are frequently used. iIn biology as well you can do the same by preparing a chart for animal and plant kingdom, photosynthesis, human physiology etc.

Chemistry: This analysis is based on the data of the past 4 years. In Organic Chemistry, You need to study all reaction mechanisms and remember all named reactions. The most important chapters are:- General Organic Chemistry , Aromatic Compounds and Phenol, Alcohol, Alkanes and Alkynes, Nitrogen and its compounds

The most important topics in the inorganic chemistry are, Coordination Compounds, Periodic Properties, Chemical Bonding, P and D block elements.  If you have covered these 4 topics then you would have covered 50% of the Inorganic Chemistry.

In physical chemistry The most important chapters are : Chemical and Ionic Equilibrium, Solutions and Colligative Properties, Atomic Structure, Electrochemistry

Physics: Physics is meant to test analytical skills. Therefore, understand the basics of the subject rather than memorizing the formulas. Absolute clarity comes from practice. Along with the good books for physics like HC Verma, it’s recommended to follow a coaching material as it is specifically designed for entrance exam preparation. Practice conceptual problems. Take up problems that relate theoretical physics to daily life.Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma, NCERT- Physics Part 1 and Part 2, D C Pandey Objective Physics, Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick and Walker, Problems in General Physics by I. E. Irodov

Hope it Helps. good luck
