If you are weak in physics you should try to clear your concepts. You can read your text book throughly. If you have any doubt try to clear it. Read NCERT books thoroughly.

You can make your important notes which will also help you at the time of revision.

You can also focus on the topics which carries more weightage in the exam. You can solve as many as MCQs for your practice from standard book.

Follow previous year papers to understand the level of the questions asked in the exam and give online mock test series for your practice & to assess your preparation.

Best of luck !

Hello Gaurav,

I personally read HC verma for getting verse with the topics and pattern to solve numericals.

Plus DC pandey for numericals. Also you can use Universal for objectives.

  • Advice is you should not try to cover full chapter point to point but just read important topics from each chapters and then solving more MCQs.

    • Also follow the rule of 1 : 5 that is if you are giving 1 hour to concept building then give 5 hours to numerical solving.

hi gaurav, dont worry about that , generally many medical aspirants find physics as a tough subject, i will tell you how you could prepare for all, including physics

Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too

Biology- in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, thats how it was when i gave my exam, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you canhope this helps good luck buddy

See physics is the most weakest subject in many of the students but don't worry you can improve your self by practicing the suggestion which I would like to tell you .See for physics subject I personally feel that you should have to solve more and more questions to be master in it solving more mcqs makes you sharp and our problem solving skills increase.

Hello  Gaurav,

Hi, As per your query about preparation of Physics for NEET UG entrance exam, I would like to suggest following tips

1.Make your own study plan and follow it properly with dedication and PATIENCE....

2. Devote most of time say 80 % in NEET preparation and 20 % in board exam preparation(if you are in 12th)

3. Practice MCQS on daily basis

4. Correct your mistakes

Most important for NEET/AIIMS is your NCERT books as these books include basic principles and concepts and provide accurate information.

KEEP NCERT + ONE REFERNCE BOOK + MAXIMUM MCQS PRACTICE = Medical SEAT Apart from this, you can add upon it by following books

BOOKS -

Concept of physics by H C Verma

Fundamental of Physic by Pradeep

Objective physics by DC Pandey

BUT KEEP IN MIND YOU HAVE TO CLEAR ENTRANCE YOU ARE NOT DOING PhD so dont go by all books mentioned here and there

Important topics which cover about 70 % , around 30 - 32 ques/ each year for last 10 years out of a total of 45 ques/year

Kinemetics

Rotational Motion

Gravitation

Thermal Physics

Wave Motion and Doppler's effect

Electrostatic Current

Electricity & Effect of Current

Magnetic Effect of Current and Magnetism

Ray optics and Optical Instruments

Modern Physics

Semiconductors and Digital Electronics

Physics is all about understanding concepts and apply them as and when they're needed, not necessarily the way you learnt them but maybe in a different manner.

This needs a significant logical bent that comes out of practice and taking effort to understand concepts.

If you've already joined a coaching institution for your preparations, ensure that you do seek help from your mentors. While there are numerous good books that you can consider following, a good mentor's help will only make understanding of the subject lot more easier.

If you've been receiving study materials from your coaching institution, work on them first. Never stay in doubts, get them clarified as soon as you get one, procrastination will only add to the heap of trouble the night before your examination.

Set realistic targets and work on achieving them. Additional references like H. C Verma, will only act as an adjunct in making your grip stronger on this subject.

Practice and then practice some more once you understand a concept. Allocate some quality time to physics on a daily basis. Also, go through the previous years papers and solve them so that you get an idea regarding the kind of questions that are asked and what concept has been repeated more frequently.

Plan your preparation accordingly.

Hello

The only way to overcome weakness is Physics is being very thorough with the different chapters as well as the formulae and their applications in Physics

You need to start early and dedicate sufficient time because making notes is the best way to master physics

Book like Irodov will make you solid with concepts where is an HC Verma, SL Arora or Arihant will present to you matters in a very precise and concise manner

Study materials provided by NCERT and also facilitated by Aakash and Allen are really decent and handy in this regard

You should be well versed with the formulae and their application especially in the chapters of mechanics, optics, current electricity, electromagnetism and the circuit diagrams including inductance and capacitance in modern physics

Once you are well was with the family you should be practicing MCQs to understand their shorthand application in MCQ type numericals

Once you are confident that you are proficient in solving these MCQs you should be giving time bound mock examinations which present to you find length of chapters from all three subjects ,being questioned upon

This not only helps you with the time management and question selection skills but also helps you to minimise the negative marking and get the maximum as possible from any paper of MCQ pattern like Neet

thank you

Hi! Physics need concept understanding, solving MCQs and discussing them with those who understand it in better way. So at very first, read NCERT thoroughly, refer HC verma n halliday resnick walker(Indian edition). Start from basic mathematics itself. When you read some topic, do not to forget to solve MCQs related to topics. As you build up on subject try interlinking topics.

All the best!
