For doing MBA you need to prepare for MBA exams like CAT, XAT, etc. This is the first basic and one of the most toughest step. As there is so much competition so to get a call for next round of interview and WSAT you need to aim for a very very high percentile. These exams are evaluated on percentile i.e. your score is more than how many students not on the percentage of your score.
After CAT exam every college in which you have applied including IIMs will prepare a merit list to call students for next round of interview and WSAT which is based on your aggregate score which comprises of many factors such as CAT marks, 10th 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender and extra curriculars with different weightages for different colleges.
Now in second round you will need to go through interview and WSAT. And then a final merit list is made in which marks of interview and WSAT will also be included which generally have maximum weightage along with CAT marks. This final merit list is used to give admissions.
So this is the process for getting admission to do MBA. You need to start preparing for MBA exams as your first step.
All the best!!
