Hello

Yes , being a humanities or arts student and having subjects Iike history polity etc in your graduation will be definitely helpful in your UPSC preparation ,this is because these subjects are under the syllabus of UPSC or the IAS examination.

But yes becoming an IAS officer is not easy considering the competition involved, but not impossible for a candidate with right attitude and approach.

Follow the below tips to prepare for UPSC examination:-

  • You can make a routinee and try to religiously follow it and if you remain dedicated towards achieving your goal, you will be able to fulfil your dream of becoming an IAS officer.

  • You need to go through the syllabus of UPSC well and ince you complete the whole syllabus you should go for mock tests

The eight steps to conquer the UPSC civil services if you want to become an IAS officer which are:-

  • Study as per exam pattern
  • Source wisely
  • Focus on current affairs
  • Plan
  • Have goals
  • Revise
  • Practice test papers
  • Have dedication and passion
