If you are interested in Chemistry then both the fields you have mentioned are good choice. Now if you want to go for a field which have a wider perspective of application then going for the Chemical Engineering will be best choice. See Material Science is an integral part of Chemical Engineering and Physics (Condensed Matter Physics). So if you go for the course of Chemical engineering then by default you will learn Material Science as well. As chemical engineering is a core subject, there are many applied branches to it as a result, the perspective of jobs increases. Also if you want to go for research, then Chemical engineering will provide you a broader area compared to that of the Material and Metallurgical Engineering.
