Hii,Yes you can join NCC for the first time in your life in College. Your college authorities or ANO(Associate NCC Officer) of the NCC unit in your college will notify all interested students about the Selection Date and Time(Probably the week before or the week of August 15). There will be alot of interested students, so inorder to get noticed and selected you have to stand out as unique, knowlegeable, creative and have some extra caricular activities(Dancing Skills, Singing Skills, Ability to talk on stage confident, Martial Arts skills) if you have any of these skills I assure you, you will be selected. There’s a quota for Ex-Service Men’s kids also and if your father’s is currently serving in ARMY/IAF/NAVY you will be selected. There’s now a rule that came in effect which will help former NCC Cadets who holds a B CERTIFICATE they will surely be selected. Since you are new to NCC if you have any of the the extra caricular skills that I have mentioned above you are most likely to be selected.
