I am sc category ,what is the marks to be scored in neet to get good government medical college in Karnataka?
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
In 2019, under State Quota, 335 marks secured a seat in Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Science under SSC Category. That was the cut off for SC Category. Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For 2020, for a seat in a Government Medical College in Karnataka, you should aim for atleast 500. This is because NEET has been pushed by 5 months and preparation time has been longer. And so the competition might be tough. When the no.of seats available are less but competition is tough, cut offs increase. So you should target atleast 400 in NEET 2020.
it's quite difficult to predict the marks required by you to get a Government medical College as cut off marks for medical colleges varies depending upon various factors like your domicile state , number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.
But in general as per past year trends , you should try to get at least around 450 to 475 marks to be on the safer side in your neet examination to get a mbbs seat in government medical college under Karnataka state quota if you belong to SC category
For example,
in neet 2019, 435 marks for sc category got into a government medical college i.e Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore under Karnataka State quota .
Thankyou
