Hey!
Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) is the best college for MBBS through NEET exam. After AIIMS, MAMC has been the first choice for medical college by the NEET toppers since always. Four hospitals – Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Hospital, GB Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences and Guru Nanak Eye Centre – are situated in the college campus and attached to the college which make MAMC , the most reputed medical college in the country after AIIMS.
Since so long, MAMC was alloted through AIPMT/NEET exam but from now on AIIMS& JIPMER will also admit students for medical courses through NEET itself, which means, a little lower rank than always can also get you into MAMC from this year.
Since MAMC is affiliated to University of Delhi, it occupies it's major (85%) reservation for Delhi residents which is also called Delhi University Quota (DUQ).
The number of seats in MAMC for MBBS is 250.
The number of seats in MAMC for BDS is 40. (85% DUQ) & 15% AIQ.
From the merit list of 2018, opening rank for SC candidate for MAMC was 269 (DU) MBBS.
And the college allotment closed at 27333(DU) MBBS.
AIR 44652 (SC) was allotted BDS in MAMC through DUQ.
As for the marks on the basis of these ranks, SC candidate with marks= 463 had an AIR of 73,658 in NEET 2019.
Therefore, combining all the statistics, you may need a score of 550-575 (SC candidate) to get MBBS in MAMC. For BDS, the score needed to get MAMC can be anything between 495-550 to assure guranteed admission tthrough AIQ.
If you're under DUQ, you can easily get through MAMC with the first limits of these mark range i.e. 550 & 495 for MBBS & BDS respectively.
Good luck!
