I am science student and I want to crack civil services exam please help me to crack it
Dear aspirant,
As you know that civil service is one of the most reputed jobs in our country. It gives you a lot of things in one go like respect , uniform, salary etc. The most exciting part s that you get to serve the country directly and there is a lot of scope in this field. As you are a science student I think you have the good concept of the physics chemistry and maths part.But that's not what it only requires. So some of the useful points that you need to implement are
1.read ore about civil services and try to know the life of civil servant and diplomats.if possible try to connect with IAS officer and ask him about the ground realities of the civil service . Ask yourself if you really want to be a civil servant and it comes yes then never look backward.
2.take up graduation course that include history and polity because these subjects are very important in the civil service examination.
3.keep up to date yourself with the UPSC syllabus and study accordingly with full dedication.
4.start reading public administration, economics etc. you can keep these as your main subject all depending upon your interest and aptitude.
5.Don't lose touch with basic maths that you learned in the school as it is needed for the CSAT paper in the IAS prelims.
6. Keep a good hold of your NCERT book's concept as these are the basics books for the preparation.
7.Inculcate the habit of reading the daily newspaper specially the editorial page and try to keep yourself up to date with the happenings in the country.
8.Study like an IAS aspirant not like a college bunking student.
9. Work on your communication and interpersonal skills.
10.Try to build a good personality as it would help you in the IAS interview round.
11.Learn to make notes and keep a fixed routine to study.
12. Practice previous years papers as you will get to know the pattern of the paper which is very important.
