Physics is a very good and application based subject. The following tips will help you improve in Physics. By improving I mean by getting a grip on application of concepts.
First go through your class notes and revise after every class in class itself, by revising in class it goes deeper into your brain as the topic is fresh. Then again revise at home and finally move to theory. For Theory HC Verma and Ncert is must.
Spend ample time on theory and notes. See for any vast topic you need 30 hours to master it and then move to revision. 10 hrs for theory, 3 hours for basic questions and 10 hrs for Advanced level question and 45 hrs for previous year question and then revision. Once you are done with a topic revise every week or once in two weeks.
For solving basic level question NCERT is must and in advanced what you need is crystal clear concepts, so Ncert and HCV will clear your concepts. Then go for DC Pandey for more application based question.
Keep revision by 1248 method Means Let's say you revise on monday, them again revise on Tuesday, next revision on Thursday and next revision on next Monday. In this way it will fit in your mind.
Don't immidietly look for solution of a question. Give it required time. Speed comes naturally if your concepts are clear.
Whenever you solve questions always put 1,2,3 or 5 stars based on difficulty of question in front of it. And revise only 3 and 5 stars question before test.
It will boost your confidence and keep revising and always make short notes for revision. Take a ruled paper and write all important tips given by your teacher on it and also the things which you think you will forget over time and keep revising it.
Thank You. I hope it helps
I prefer more to cengage then that of dc Pandey

Hope my answer helped you
Thank you
Hello Naman,
JEE Advanced demands an in-depth knowledge of concepts and their application. It is not just about putting in the hours, but equally about using smart ways to maximize the time left at one’s disposal. It is the performance in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics that hold the key to cracking JEE Advanced. Also, the candidate must not waste time in preparing for topics that are not included in JEE Advanced syllabus. For example: Electronic Devices and Electromagnetic Waves which were part of JEE Main syllabus are not included in JEE Advanced syllabus. The topics that you need to pay attention for physics are-
1.General
2.Mechanics
3.Thermal Physics
4.Electricity and Magnetism
5.Optics
6.Modern Physics
Make a plan, work hard, solve as many mock tests as possible but most importantly, have a positive outlook and full confidence in your abilities while preparing for the exam. Good Luck!
