Hello sachin,
As we know NIT's are the top technical institutes after IIT's and everyone wants to take admission in it if he is unable to grab a seat in IIT. from earlier years data to get admission in NIT's one need to get a rank of about 10K in JEE mains to get admission in good NIT's with their desired branch as for example to get admission in CSE branch in any good NIT one need to have a very good rank. 15000-20000 rank is also good enough to get you into NIT's. it also depends on branch as which branch you want to take admission in. with a rank of about 30000 you can get admission in a lower NIT with a good branch.
this year everyone has got percentiles so approximately 10k rank =99.2 percentiles and 25k-30k rank is about 97-96 percentile. if we consider the reservations also then also a difference of about 50000 ranks will only be there which means then also one need to have more than 80 percentiles to grab a seat in NIT.
To calculate a possible all india rank for JEE 2019 we can use the formula:
Let's assume:
percentile=P
total number of students=N
Rank=((100-P)/100)*N+1
this will give you an estimate AIR.
though it is hard to get NIT with 58 percentiles but then also you can try for it by attending the councilling and do not lose hope . there are other college also for which you can apply such as your state goverment colleges and other goverment colleges are there.
further if any questions feel free to ask.
All the best!!!
Regards.
