I am still in class 12th. And i wanted to ask if we need to give any entrance exam for studying B.Com Hons in DU? Or does it totally depend on our board results?

The eligibility criteria to get admission to B.Com (//B.Com) (Hons) in Delhi University affiliated colleges is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics/Business Mathematics with minimum 50% aggregate marks or more from a recognized board. Candidates who are currently in the class 12th are also eligible to apply for DU UG admission but the seat allotment is subjected to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria at the time of admission. The admission is based on marks scored in class 12th in best four subjects. Here is the criteria for calculating best four subjects marks for admission to B.Com (//B.Com) (Hons)
- A candidate must have include the marks scored in English or Hindi and he/she must have minimum 60% marks or more.
- For remaining three subjects the candidate can include any three subjects among Mathematics , Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies/ Commerce .
- If a candidate include any subject other than the above mentioned subjects from List B in the set of best three, there will be deduction of 1% per subject on the aggregate, with a maximum net deduction of 2%.
- If a candidate include any subject other than which are in list B in the set of best three there will be deduction of 2.5% per subject on the aggregate of the Best Four.
