The government has proposed holding a Common University Entrance Test, which could be a game changer for higher education in India (CUET). From the academic year 2022-2023, 44 CUET universities and colleges will be participating. This may come as a surprise to many, but the move to reduce the pressure of higher cut-offs in most prestigious central universities has been in the works for quite some time. The National Education Policy (NEP), which aims to make radical changes to the country's educational system, paved the way for the Common Entrance Test.
At the moment, India has 54 Central Universities, including the University of Delhi (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and others. 44 of these central universities are taking part in CUET 2022.
1. Aligarh Muslim University.
2. Assam University.
3. central university of Andhtra Pradesh.
4. central university of south Bihar.
5. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF Gujarat.
6. central university of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu.
7. Guru Ghasidas vishwavidhyalay.
8. Indira Gandhi National tribal University.
9. University of Deli, Hyderabad, Allahabad.
