If you failed in any semester , it is called backlog. In that case you need to clear your backlog before completing your course duration.

generally, getting a backlog in any semester can impact on your resume/CV or you may face difficulty to get a job. But, it's not impossible.. many companies accept max 1 backlog in their whole course duration.

If you have backlog in semester examination you need to appear for supplementary or make-up examination during the next semester examination or whenever the institute/university schedules the supplementary or make-up examination. You have to pay the prescribed supplementary or make-up examination fee to appear for it. The schedule for the supplementary or make-up examination will be released by the institute/university examination department in which you are studying. Once if you clear the backlog you will obtain the results and new Marksheet Memo.
