I am studying 12th now and I want to do BTech in aerospace engineering ....what aviation course should I take after BTech and should I go abroad for my CPL training? and what is the average fee for my study course in abroad will be?
Hi Aspirant,
It seems your confused with your career. Don't worry we are here to guide you. Aerospace Engineer and Aviation are both different fields. If you choosing for Career in Aerospace engineering, I'll brief a little about aerospace engineering.
Aerospace Engineer is a Engineering branch provides knowledge to design, manufacture and maintain Spacecraft, Aircraft, Missiles and Weapon system. This program will cover two aspects of engineering that is Aeronautical and Astronomical Engineering. Its is one of the toughest branch in engineering.
Aerospace engineer duties are.
- Development of new technologies in Spacecraft, aviation and Defence system.
- Designing, Assembling and Testing of aircraft and aerospace product.
- Examination of Malfunction or damage in an equipment to find our possible reason and offer solution.
- Assessing cost and feasibility of new projects proposed to be undertaken.
- Aerospace engineers take on specialised area of functioning such as software engineer, structural engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, for automation and guidance purpose , aerodynamics or propulsion systems.
This are some duties mentioned apart from this they are many more..
After completion of Aerospace engineer from recognised universities, You can try job in some government organisations of india such as
- Indian space Research Organization (ISRO)
- Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL)
- National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL)
- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)
They are any private companies such as Airbus, Boeing, Goodrich, etc where you can try as well . So this was aerospace engineering course. Coming to Aviation course.
Aviation refers to flying using an aircraft, like an aeroplane or fighter jets, It also includes the activities and industries related to flight such as Air traffic control. Types of aviation course are
- BBA in Airport management.
- Diploma in airport management.
- Diploma in ground staff & Cabin Crew Training.
- Diploma in Aviation Hospitality.
- Diploma in Airfare & Ticketing Management.
- BBA in aviation.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
- Commercial Pilot Training.
So both course or program are totally different field, Only few subjects have some similarities rest totally different. so decide based on this which course you want to choose. Fee structure is secondary part. Fee structure for CPL (Commercial Pilot License) in india is around 65 lakhs and in abroad is upto 90 lakhs in indian currency. Make a decision which program you want to go with and take admission. Hope this information helps you,
Thanks & Good luck!..
