i am studying B.E(1st yr)in private college & is there any way to get admission in NIT (direct 2nd year admission) by appearing in JEE mains

Hey shazzing sk arun,
As you want admission in nit directly into 2nd year while you are studying in private college Is according to my knowledge is NOT POSSIBLE but if you want admission in NITs you should go for JEE again and you must obtain enough marks above cut offs

Hi there !
There is no opportunity to get into second year in NIT unlike our local engineering colleges.If you are still interested to study in NIT then it would be better to take JEE once more and then start from the first year if you like to do it.

No I am sorry to inform you that there is no such steps to get direct admission in 2nd yr in nit.If you want to appear for jeemain then you will admitted to 1st yr as you know .

Respected sir,
As far as i know there are no way to get lateral entry in NIT colleges but if you wanna go then the procedure is once again reapeating,that is you have to give the joint entrance examination and once again get admitted in 1st year for that your one year is wasted.
But i will suggest you not to waste your time and start the preparation of GATE(graduate aptitude test) for getting admission in IIT and NIT and even government college for M.Tech and if you perform well for two years you will get a chance to do Phd.
So,i suggest you sir to start the preparation from 2nd year onwards.
