Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

After graduating from GNM nursing school, you may pursue a career or additional education.
Following graduation from GNM, one may apply for registration with the State Nurse Registration Council as an R.N.R.M. Following that, one may go to work and acquire some valuable job experience.
In order to enrol in the Bsc Nursing (Post Basic) programme provided by INC-accredited institutions, this certification must be obtained. After finishing the Bsc programme, students will be granted a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
One may be able to get employment in India or overseas with this Nursing Degree. If you wish to continue your education, you may enrol in one of the following courses:

Msc in Nursing (Master of Science in Nursing)
PG Diploma in Nursing (Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing)

The postgraduate programmes listed above may be utilised to specialise in any of the many nursing specialisations that are offered. M.Phil. and PhD programmes are offered for those who want to pursue more advanced studies in their field.

If you continue along the professional path outlined in this article, you may be able to get further credentials in addition to the GNM Diploma in Nursing. These extra credentials will significantly improve your employment opportunities.

Possibilities for employment after graduation from GNM:

1. A primary healthcare professional
There a number of government-run basic health care centres located across India
2. Nurse educator (also known as a nursing tutor)
Anyone who is interested in academics may pursue the position of nurse educator, who is responsible for preparing licenced practical nurses (LPN) and registered nurses for entrance into the nursing profession. In addition, you may offer continuing nursing education to the personnel that work in patient care facilities. Teaching positions are available at nursing schools and colleges as well as other educational institutions.
3. Nurse Practitioner in Community Health
Local hospitals, trauma centres, government agencies, schools, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) use GNMs as community health nurses in a variety of capacities, including

Keeping infectious illnesses from spreading is a top priority.
Providing assistance to patients in the treatment of their diseases
Educating the general public about prevalent health issues in the area
Providing assistance in social healthcare initiatives
Prenatal care and education for expecting women, including information on maternal nutrition and delivery, are provided.

Hope you got the answer to your question. Incase of any queries, feel free to question. Have a great day!
