I am studying in 12th .May I give SCRA exam?

you are eligible for the exam only if you fulfill the below stated criteria along with the age criteria.

Applicants need to have passed intermediate, i.e. 10+2 education Level or equivalent. At this qualifying level of examination, applicants need to have 1st or 2nd division with mathematics compulsory and Physics and Chemistry as one of the subjects.

AGE LIMIT :17-21 years.

Union Public Service Commission conducts the Special Class Railway Apprentices’ Examination (SCRA) to select candidates for the Mechanical Department of Indian Railways. According to the age criteria for SCRA examination as given by UPSC is that the candidate must have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years as on 1 st January 2019 i.e he/she must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-1998.

However UPSC has stopped conducting the SCRA examination since after 2015. So you cannot appear for SCRA.

No, you are not eligible to apply for Special Class Railway Apprentices(SCRA) Examination.

You have to pass Class XII(Senior Secondary) examination in order to apply for SCRA.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR SCRA:

-Candidate have to pass Class XII board examination from recognized Board.

- Candidate have to pass 10+2 exam with Mathematics and any one of Physics and Chemistry.

- Candidate have to Pass Class XII examination in either first or Second division.

- Candidates who have pass First year of B.Sc degree with any of Physics,Chemistry or Mathematics can apply for SCRA.

- Age of the candidate must be at least 17 years and must not exceed 21 years as on 1st August of the year of Examination. For OBC candidate upper limit of age is 24 years and 26 years for SC/ST candidates.

- Candidate should be a citizen of India or Subject of Nepal or Bhutan.

- Candidate should be Physically Fit.
