I am studying in class 11 th . After passing class 12th . My subject is pcb . Afmc I do . Tell me how to do
Hi Rishu
Just prepare for NEET, no specific preparation required for AFMC provided you are not highly overweight.
If possible before interview have a clear mindset and express yourself fully but in a decent manner the interview panel comprises of one of the coolest AFMCites but they are maj gen, air commodore and other high ranking officers so be prepared.
* One must focus on English and General Ability test. As marks scored in this section can make a huge difference in one's ranking.
* One should set a time scheduled and divide it in sessions for the examination's syllabus.
* One should focus on deep understanding and concept building rather than cramming the syllabus.
* It is better to put more and more practice in solving old questions papers as it helps in gaining confidence and question paper solving skill speedily and accurately.
* If exams is just approaching, leave out any new chapters because it will create a lot of stress and anyway you cannot master it enough for the exam.
* Take a rest or break after every 30-40 minutes of study in order to keep the mind refresh.
* One should not waste his/her valuable time unnecessarily on watching TV, laptop etc.
* The study room or study place of the candidate must be free from any interruption, noise and disturbances.
All the best
You need to appear for NEET-UG entrance examination that is generally conducted on the first Sunday of May every year.
Also, you need to register separately for contesting in the counseling procedures of AFMC, the application forms for which will be out in the last week of April.
If you look at the qualifying scores of previous years, you'll realize that the cutoff scores for AFMC have constantly gone up, so a score of 550 and above out of a total score of 720 in NEET-UG entrance will keep you in a safe zone.
Once you clear the cut off, you'll be eligible for appearing for appearing for a computer based test(ToELR) that contains 40 questions. For every correct response you'll be awarded 2 marks and a wrong response will cost you 1/2 a mark. This an aptitude test along with a test of basic comprehensive skills. A separate merit list will be prepared for boys and girls and admission will be provided to candidates based on this merit.
Armed Forces Medical College preparations.
AFMC earlier used to conduct an exam of its own. Now it is conducted by NEET UG. Similarly AFMC is the choice of many students. Hence competition is extreme high.. But i would say it is tough but not impossible. Study regularly with Physics Chemistry Biology conceptually. Solve NEET papers first with understanding and then with time setting. Once you clear NEET UG and you are shortlisted for armed forces medical college, u have appear before a selection board where they assess officers like qualities eg Leadership, communications skills etc.
Once you clear the interview you have to undergo medical examination as per as standard of Armed Forces. Once you surpass it , Aloha you are a Medical Cadet.
Post your MBBS you are commissioned to the rank of captain in the army and its equivalents in navy and airforce.
All the best to you,
