I am studying in class 12 in Chennai.I am studying in chennai from class 1 to class 12 and parents are working in chennai for the past 10-12 yrs. But we belong to another state ,Do we need to get nativity certificate or domicile certificate for MBBS admission through 85% state quota in TN colleges

Hello,
To get seat under 85% state quota in Tamilnadu you must hold the domicile of Tamilnadu and the applicant or their parents must reside in Tamilnadu for 5 years continuously.You need to submit the domicile certificate at the time of counselling to claim state reservations without that you cannot get admission under 85% state quota.

Thank you for the quick response mam... we satisfy all the above criteria for getting domicile certificate...I understand that in the Tahasildar office, we need to ask for domicile/resident certificate and not the nativity certificate
