Hello there.
First of all, to do MBBS in India you will have to clear the NEET-UG examinations. This examination is mandatory for all students wishing to pursue any course relating to the medical sciences be it MBBS, BDS, BMHS or BAMS. Other than this there are two other examinations AIIMS & JIPMER. Both of these exams are conducted by two premier institutes of medical sciences in India.
To be eligible to write the NEET examinations one has to be at least 17 years of age with 50% marks in Class XII boards examinations with a subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
After the result declaration of the NEET examination, counselling is conducted to provide admissions to students in various medical colleges accross the country. Counselling is mainly done in 2 quotas. The 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota. In simple terms, this means that, if there are 100 seats in a medical college of X state then 85 Seats of the same are reserved for the students of X state and other 15 seats are for the students of other states.
So, if you are a domicile of Bihar but want to get a seat in Delhi, then you should apply in the medical colleges of Delhi through the 15% AIQ. It is advisable to score 590+ to stand a chance of getting admission in Delhi through AIQ.
Hope this helps.
All the best.
