I am studying Information Technology After that I want to do M.Tech Should I write an entrance exam?
Yes you have to write entrance exam namely Graduate Aptitute Test in Engineering (GATE) if you are currently pursuing BTech/BE in Information Technology.
You can also give this exam if you have BSc IT and MSc IT.
This exam is for 100 marks and since you are studying Information Technology
study for GATE CS stream exam.
GATE syllabus is one of the most intensive topics covering various topics in engineering. GATE exam questions can be broadly classified as follows -
- Engineering mathematics questions constituting 13-15 marks
- General aptitude questions constituting 15 marks
- Core questions constituting 70-72 marks
GATE Score is calculated on a scale of 1000.
Marks are out of 100 and time for exam is 3 hours.

The GATE score is valid for 3 years after the result & if you clear the exam the you are eligible for ME/MTech across INDIA.
