Hey Anuvab,

Your question has the answer itself. If you clear JEE-Advance then obviously you will get IIT but but but. Its not what it looks like. You need to score better so that you can get your desired Course. And if just getting into IIT is your dream and you are okay with any stream then congratulations you are successfully in IIT. But still score better focus on your score rather then just qualifying.

Best of luck

Hey there

Yes you will not face any issues in IIT admission by your board marks as you are eligible for admissions with this score. Do prepare hard and give IIT entrance if you really wanna study in IITs.

Check about JEE advanced

Dear Anuvab, The candidates will have to satisfy at least one of the following two criteria for admission to IITs:

  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with an aggregate of at least 75% marks. For SC/ ST and PwD candidates, there is a relaxation of 10% as they need the aggregate of minimum 65% marks.
  • The candidates should be within the category wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective 12th standard (or equivalent) board examination.
  • The scores secured in the following five subjects will be considered for calculating the aggregate marks and the cut off marks for fulfilling the top 20 percentile criterion:
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • A language (if the candidate has taken more than one language, then the language with the higher marks will be considered)

All the best

Hope this helps

Yes, the criteria for getting admission into an IIT is above 75% marks in class 12th from a recognized board. So, yes you are eligible for getting admitted in IITs. You don't need to worry about your board percentage, you can focus on your JEE Advanced.
