There is a full criteria for the candidates scoring same marks to give them rank. my friends marks is also 155 but his rank is 23000. u can check at jee main site

on each rank there are 4-500 students. at this point other factors are considered like less negative marking or more marks in maths etc.

alphabetical order is also given the preference

there is no prefence of alphabetical order.

The student scoring more in maths is given first preference. The order is like M>P>C and then birth dates.
