Hello Abdullah,
Thanks for contacting Careers360.
Now the CSE syllabus in any college or university is almost the same (You can definitely check the syllabus on their websites). And the syllabus assumes a fresher to be completely unaware of the existence of computers. They will start teaching from complete beginning. So you don't have anything to worry about. But it's never harmful to know things beforehand. So before your college starts, I'd recommend you to learn C language and also understand the concepts of Object Oriented Programming. These two things are the only thing you should try to understand very clearly before joining college. There are more things that you should know (if time permits), like HTML and CSS, working of OS, etc. Hope it helps and good luck!
Hi
It is not necessary to know any programmimg knowledge before joining B. Tech CSE. But if you know the language it will be added advantage.
Say suppose you dont any programming language, in the first year of Engineering there will be one subject related to computer science. You will study basics of computer science and programming in this subject.
You will study following topics
1. Introduction to computer science.
2. Algorithms.
3. C language
4. Data type
5. Pointers etc
You will also have a practical session on it.
As you progress in higher year you will study more about data structures , C ++, phython etc.
So you want to learn beforehand , you can start off with bascis of C.
You can learn this from NPTEL , you will get free video on youtube.
Hey Abdullah Mohammad,
It is okay of you don’t know any computer langauges. It is better that you can learn before joining in B.Tech because as you will be pre learned it will be easy to you to understand and Ofcourse all languages will be taught in college
