Admission in Anna University for undergraduate engineering and technology courses is done through an entrance exam TNEA. So you need to apply for it.
50% 12th marks is one of the eligibility criteria for admission which you fulfil.
There is no such thing as foreword caste. we have general, other backward class, schedule caste, schedule tribe and person with disability.

With this percentage you hope fully can get admission in B.tech Course of your preferred branch in Anna University but you must also fulfill certain eligiblity criteria in order to take admission.
For instance you must have done your classes from VIII to XII class in Tamil Nadu and From a recognised board and must have scored above 50% in all the classes if you are from general category with some relaxation for SC/ST/OBC.
