Dear Samayeta
It's very difficult to predict the cut offs before the marks are released, considering there were a lot of technical errors. This happened last year as well. The predicted cut offs before the marks were released were around 140–145+ for top 3 NLU's. However the official cutoff for NLS itself was 137–138.
But faking into consideration a score of 185, your chances are pretty High to get in top 5 nlus
good luck
The cut off marks required for admission in top 5 NLUs through CLAT varies a lot each year due to several factors. According to previous year trends sometimes 120+ are required sometimes 140+. So a more accurate estimate can be made only after the ranks are declared or atleast the answer key is out. Just on the basis of estimate marks, you can't be 100% sure of your chances. It would depend a lot on the level of paper and competition this year.
Also there is a negative marking in CLAT where 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. So you should wait for the answer keys and the rank list for a more accurate estimate.
Best of luck!
