Hello,
Once after your application gets locked by either you or NTA, you are then not at all eligible to change your Application Form at any cost. No matters how many calls and emails you do or requests you post, they don't give another chance to correct them.
Although, NTA always provides minimum 2 to 3 chances to correct your application form if any. But, if at that time you don't make corrections, after that nothing can be done .
So, coming back to your question, if you have filled your Category as General then you cannot change your Category from General to OBC-NCL Category. You will be always considered as General categorised student and your result and seat allocation will be based on that only.
It's very much better for you that start preparing for JEE MAINS 2023 examination. Here are some tips for you :-
- Make a note of all the mistakes you made in your JEE MAINS 2022 examination.
- Practice many number of MCQs
- Don't keep your doubts to remain unsolved.
- Read NCERT textbooks as all the questions are 100% based on that only.

If you are financially stable then you can also go for Private Engineering colleges as well. But my strong suggestion for you is that you must take a Year Drop and study and work more hard and get into your dream IIT or NIT.
Hope this helps. All the Best.
Thank You.
