Hello Aparna
Welcome to careers360!
Right now it is not possible to predict exact cutoff for jee mains.
But according to experts 85 percentile is expected cutoff for jee advanced for general catogary. So it is advisable to you reappear in april session to score some more marks
Hello Aparna,
I would like to tell you that you have not mentioned properly that the percentage mentioned above is the board exam percentage or it is the percentile you have got in JEE MAINS.
I'll consider that you are referring to the JEE MAINS percentile.
Let me begin by telling you that the percentage and the percentile are two different thing s.
I would like to tell you that 73% is a very cut to cut number, and by that, I mean that your rank maybe on the very edge of 250,000.
Usually, around 230,000-250,000 students are selected for JEE ADVANCED so it's really tough to say if you will qualify or not.
Also if you are referring to your board exam percentage to be 73 % then I would like to tell you that a minimum of 75% is required for IIT's
Hope this helps and all the very best to you!
Solving the JEE Advanced paper's will help to know the exam difficult level and identify the high weightage topics.
It would be difficult to provide you the exact information about the admission possibilities as per the score as JEE Main 2019 is being conducted twice by NTA for the first time and rank will be based on the NTA percentile which will be decleared in the month of April.
But based on this score your probable rank will be 290,928 - 330,928, The chances are less to be eligible for JEE Advance. I would suggest you to appear again for the exam.
NOTE: Rank Predicted is on the basis of the expected total number of students i.e. 1152650 appearing in the JEE Mains April Session.
If you are asking JEE Main Paper II then let me know.
Good Luck!
