I become ias officer which course is best in college?
It is the important decision to make the career path better. But, this decision will not decide your selection chances in Civil Services. As per my knowledge and experience, following things can be considered to choose the degree.
- Your genuine interest in a particular stream or field.
- The scope of that field.
- Helpful for your plan B i.e. job security to live financial stable.
- While choosing optional subjects for CSE, you can choose the graduation subject as well.
I will personally suggest you, don’t compromise your interest for this exam. It will definitely bring you down . Everyone knows that our background knowledge is utmost important.
Some peoples argue that doctor’s and engineer’s success rate is higher in the Civil Services. But, no one knows the actual reason behind it. They are cracking the CSE because they have the habit of study for long hours and they are already good at retaining the things faster.
Every degree has its own advantages and disadvantages. I have summarized it below, from my experiences.
Case - I: If you are going to choose humanities ( BA )
- The syllabus is almost same .
- You will feel confident while studying for CSE.
- It will help you to direct in CSE.
- But, this field has less scope .
Case - II: If you are going to choose the Professional courses ( B.Com (http://b.com/) , BBA, etc.)
- Job Security chances are good enough.
- You will gain practical knowledge .
- But, not very helpful for CSE.
Case - III: If you are going to choose science ( B.Sc (http://b.sc/) , MBBS, Engg, etc.)
- Opportunities in Research and Development Fields.
- Job Security.
- It is helpful for CSE as well.
