Hello,
Information Technology is a good domain and you can find some great opportunities for your carrer in this domain. But the job opportunities are less as compared to Computer Science domain and government jobs are almost none in this domains. For government jobs you can go for domains like mechanical, civil, electrical and ece.
But you need to know your interests first. If you like coding go for cs or it. If you like circuits go for electrical or electronic. If you like feild work go for civil or mechanical.
