i belong to RBA category can i select the OBC in aims job exam exam, (from kashmir)
Hello,
The Reserved Backward Area (RBA) category is specific to Jammu and Kashmir and is not recognized as an Other Backward Class (OBC) at the national level. Therefore, for AIIMS job examinations, RBA candidates cannot claim OBC reservation. To be eligible for OBC reservation in AIIMS recruitments, candidates must:
-
Belong to a caste listed in the Central List of OBCs.
-
Provide a valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate issued after April 1 of the current financial year.
-
Ensure the OBC certificate is in the format prescribed by the Government of India.
Since RBA is not included in the Central List of OBCs, you would be considered under the Unreserved (UR) category for AIIMS examinations.
Hope it helps !
Hello Mudasir,
No, the RBA (Resident of Backward Area) category is specific to Jammu & Kashmir and is not considered under the OBC category at the national level. AIIMS follows the Central OBC list , so you can only select OBC if your caste is listed under the Central OBC list for Jammu & Kashmir . Otherwise, you should apply under the General category or any other applicable reservation.
Check the
NCBC (National Commission for Backward Classes) website
to confirm if your caste falls under
Central OBC
.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
As a candidate from the RBA (Resident of Backward Area) category in Jammu and Kashmir, you are eligible for reservations under the RBA category.
However, for the AIMs job exam, which is a central government examination, the reservation categories are different from the state-level categories.
_OBC (Other Backward Classes) is a central list category_, and the eligibility criteria for OBC are based on the central government's list of OBCs.
If you belong to the RBA category in Jammu and Kashmir, you might not be eligible to select the OBC category in the AIMs job exam, as the RBA category is specific to Jammu and Kashmir state.
To confirm your eligibility, I recommend checking the following:
1. *AIMs job exam notification*: Check the official notification for the AIMs job exam to see the eligible categories and the reservation criteria.
2. *Central government's OBC list*: Verify if your community is included in the central government's list of OBCs.
3. *Jammu and Kashmir government's website*: Check the Jammu and Kashmir government's website to see if there are any specific instructions or guidelines for RBA category candidates applying for central government exams.
It's essential to ensure you select the correct category to avoid any discrepancies or disqualification during the exam process.
