hi,
see the eligibility criteria to appear in IAS or civil service exams is candidates must have completed bachelors course in any discipline from a recognized education board. now if you pursue b.sc course in computer science that would also makes you eligible to appear in IAS exam. however there is various papers and candidates have to choose as per their background. ias exam has divided in to three steps, prelims, mains and interview rounds. prelims exams has two papers :
IAS Exam Paper – I: General Studies
IAS Exam Paper – II: General Studies (CSAT)
for ias mains exams, following papers have to attempt:
Paper – A Compulsory Indian Language
Paper – B English
Paper – I ESSAY
Paper – II General Studies I
Paper – III General Studies II
Paper – IV General Studies III
Paper – V General Studies IV
Paper – VI Optional Paper I
Paper – VII Optional Paper II
so you must understand exams is quite tough and need special preparation and training. so in-spite of your science background you have to study separately for ias exam solving and analyzing the syllabus and old question papers.
