Being a science student, if you have chosen a commerce stream course which is B.com is not at all a big deal. But, yes before choosing it, you should know your interests and knowledge in that particular field. If only you are interested in that course due to unavailability of any other option, this won't help.

Choose the course which makes you feel curious. Many students who chose science in high school mangage to pursue their graduation in arts stream with their changed interests.



I woull tell you the major subjects in Bcom and then you can decide whether you are right to study them with keen interest or not. So, the degree majorly demands understanding in the subjects like accounting, economics, finance, taxation and management.

Dear Aaradhana, we will sort out the options for you that you have im Commerce stream and you can decide it for yourself. After 12th, its not just B.Com but also you can opt for B.Com, B.Com LLB, BBA, CA . Apart from that, BMS is Bachelor's in Management Studies. It is more focussed on Analytics. Bachelors BBA+MBA Integrated programmes are in demand now. BBS is Bachelors of Business Studies is an alternative to BBA and BMS. BBE is Bachelor of Economic Studies and a 3 year Degree course more suited for Commerce students. BIBF is a 3 year course concentrating on International Business. You can also study BFT,  BHM. But lets say ypu studied B.Com. You can pursue M.Com.or MBA as further studies. You can try for jobs in Private/ Government banking sectors, Event Management companies, Journalism, Foreign Trade, etc. It mostly depends on what you choose in your Bachelor's. So there is no dearth of opportunities once you take up Commerce Stream. If you are serious about taking a Commerce stream because apart from the Medical and Engineering streams, Commerce stream is a refreshing stream with equally career flourishing scope.
