Hello,
An embryologist is a fertility specialist that helps to create viable embryos to either be used in IVF right away or to be frozen for later use.
Embryologists aren't MDs, but they are highly trained medical professionals, usually holding a Masters degree or a PhD due to the specialized nature of their work.
To enter embryology, one has to complete bachelor's degree in biological science, followed by a post graduate qualification, preferably in Assisted Reproductive Technology or Embryology or biotechnology.
After doing MBBS you can do embryologist course.
If you have passed and obtained Medical Post Graduate Clinical Courses and Super-Speciality degree courses recognized by the Medical Council of India then only you are eligible to join in Progenesis IVF Fellowship Programme.
This includes MD (Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), DNB (Diplomate of National Board), DGO (Diploma in Obsterics & Gynaecology).
Hope this helps!!!
