The Department of Biotechnology Jamia hamdard university offers three courses in Biotechnology.

1. B.Sc -Msc integrated Biotechnology course (eligibility is 12th passed with biology /mathematics as a subjects.)
2. M.sc Biotechnology - (Passed B.Sc. examination from a recognized University in Biological Sciences/B.Sc. (Agriculture)/B.V.Sc with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.)
3. Ph.D in Biotechnology

The duration of integrated B.Sc -Msc Biotechnology course is five years.

You can take admission to integrated bsc -msc course on the basis of class 12th marks however you have to do the complete five years course. You can not get lateral entry or direct entry to 3rd year or 4th year of the course on the basis of B.Sc degree. So if you are interested in doing the integrated course you can do that.

However As you have completed your bachelor in science form biologiCal science stream you are also eligible for admission to M.Sc Biotechnology course at jamia hamdard university. So if you want you can do the masters course in Biotechnology. The duration of this course is 2 years.

Duration: Two years (4 Semesters)

Seats: 40 (20 General Category + 20 SFS Category)

Eligibility: A candidate must have:

Passed B.Sc. examination from a recognized University in Biological

Sciences with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. The candidates having

passed B.Sc. (Agriculture) or BVSc are also eligible.

Appeared in the Entrance Test and Interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.

The eligibility for getting admission in BSc-MSc five year Integrated program is:

• Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Biology/ Mathematics as one of their subjects from CBSE or any other Board recognized by JH University as equivalent thereto, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate.

Therefore, if you have studied Maths/Biology in your 10+2, then you are eligible to apply.
