Hi dear..I can understand your mental status but you have to choose your specialisation according to your interest.Both the courses have its own speciality so it's better for you to decide your area of interest according to your passion, aim and goal. Once your this doubt is clear, it will be easy for you to decide between the two.
If you wish to work in organizations like Zoological Survey of India, Institute of Microbial Technology, Tata Institute Of Fundamental Research, National Center For Biological Science etc.then Zoology is your field. In general saying it is said that M.Sc Zoology have more carrier options than M.Sc Botony.
Zoology allow you to study Animal Biology, Molecular Biology, Zoology, Marine Science, Biomedical Science, Fishery Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology,Genetics, and Medical Technology.
If you study Botony your carrier will be limited to Botony, Agriculture Science, Horticulture, Biotechnology, Forestry , Aromatic plant studies.

In either way choosing any field can do wonders to you if you are passionate as well as professional.
Life sciences: In India it's still a emerging field but I perceive it as a wide scope in coming future.
Botany: It is having a emerging scope in Agricultre, farming and other plant related fields.
One more thing all that matters is your field of interest, if you are good at it, you can achieve. Be wise with choosing. You'll make a choice. Any other query will also be answered as soon as possible.
