see the basic eligibility  criteria to make application for btech lateral entry in jawharlal nehru university is general candidates need to secure atleast 50% marks in diploma course, and for reserved category students, 45% marks in diploma course required. however the admission is done on the basis of marks achieved in diploma level, if your scores are low , there is less chances for selection.
