i did not have history subject in class XII. Can i still opt for BA programme for History+Sociology? (in desparate need of answer)

Yes, you can pursue BA programme in History and Sociology(providing that the college you are going to is offering such combination) even though you did not have History in 10+2. The eligibility criteria for BA suggests that the candidate should have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) any other examination recognized as equivalent.
