I didn't have computer as a subject in class 11 & 12 as I was a pure science student (PCMB) . I appeared for VITEEE 2021 and secured a rank of 2766 . I am willing to take admission in VIT vellore . Can I choose CSE? even if I choose CSE which branch under it would be preferable?

Dear Diya Roy,

Yes, you have good chances of getting B. Tech  Computer Science Engineering in Vellore Institute of Technology based on previous year's cut-offs. As your Rank falls under previous year's cut-off ranks. For you Computer Science Engineering Specialization in Information Security would be better and even you have good chances of getting this branch also. The cut-offs varies from campus to campus and branch to branch. The cut-offs will depend on factors like number of students appeared, number of seats available, category, difficulty level of the exam, etc.
