No there is no way that you can get those photos back.Personally I also use Google Photos.It works on a principle that if you backup your photos from phone's drive to google photo's it will get stored in the cloud and even if you delete your photos from phones storage it gets stored in google photos.However if you delete photos from google drive parmanently then there's a no way of getting photos back unless they get externally stored in some storage device.
